Future Bakers!

Look at this beautiful gingerbread house! A precious friend of mine and 3 of her kids came to the house to stay with our kids overnight so Jeff and I could go "away" to celebrate our anniversary! While we were gone, they made 2 gingerbread houses---all 6 of the kids working together. I had to choose one to keep, and it was a hard choice, both looked incredible! And just as a footnote, my house looked better when I got home than when I left! Now that's a true friend!!!

Soccer Players on the move!

We were on the go with all 3 kids playing soccer this year. It was Lydia's first year to play, and she was quite aggressive. Really seemed to know what was going on with the game, and scored more than a few goals. Hannah and Cy have played a few years now, and despite the freezing cold of the past, asked to play again this year. Cy's team had some close games this year, with one going into "overtime" due to a tie. Hannah's team was undefeated, and did not let another team even score on them!

Cy is turning 7!!!

Cy is grown now, since he is 7 years old. He had a great party, especially when the boys got all the nerf guns and went after the girls! They thought that was the coolest! I'm not sure how thrilled the girls were, but they banded together and had fun too. The theme of his party was Larryboy, from Veggie Tales.

Kindergarten Graduate!!!

Cy was a very proud Kindergarten graduate, and the only boy at that! At his graduation, he was the only one who answered the questions Bro. Lee asked about the story of Jonah. For his Bible verse he quoted (By memory, without help) Isaiah 9:6: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be upon his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Happy Birthday to Hannah and Lydia!!!

March 2010, Hannah and Lydia celebrated their birthdays together. We had a party and cookout and our closest friends came and celebrated too. One of Hannah's sweetest friends got to spend the night before with her, and when they woke up the next morning there was a surprise birthday cake on the kitchen counter. The girls were totally surprised and so excited about the party. It was a fun, fun day!

We got a really good snow in January 2010. A real winter wonderland! The kids absolutely loved it and played their hearts out in it.
